Our Brand, Values & Responsibility
Who We Are
Otitọ means “truth” in Yoruba – a language spoken in West Africa – most prominently in Southwestern Nigeria by the Yoruba people, where founder and creative director Bethany Fraser’s ancestral story originated.
Otitọ is a collection of globally sourced artisanal designs that are timeless, affordable, uncomplicated, meaningful, forward-thinking, and sustainable. Inspired by Bethany’s wide array of life experiences, travel, and ancestral roots, she wanted to create a jewelry brand and support other designers around the world by showcasing the diversity and beauty that exists in different communities, cultures, and backgrounds. Made of delicate metals, materials, semi-precious stones, beads, and gems, the Otitọ brand is as diverse as the artists it represents. Jewelry that is versatile and affordable for people of all ages and backgrounds and crafted to transition from day to night. Whether worn alone or layered with complementary pieces that tell your story, your truth – your otitọ.
A Commitment to Good
With a commitment to be part of the change, Otitọ supports organizations that promote global peace and greater goodness with a percentage of annual proceeds given to international organizations that promote health, wellbeing, and safety in areas most in need around the world.
